[Old News]

Latest updates:

Mar 2009 - A recent update of the computer that the mud runs on made changes to the compilers which the muds "make" code did not work well with. Palin ironed out the kinks on that. The mud now compiles again.

Mar 2009 - That means good news and bad news. The good news is that we can begin fixing some things on the mud such as broken shops. The bad news is that we can begin fixing things on the mud like changing the response lines to the stat roller to foil statbots. ("thank" Unicus for those heehee)

Mar 2009 - Palin has made some typo fixes

Mar 2009 - Palin has added "external recognition" to the muds code. What that means is that the system administrator (Unicus for now) can externally ask that the mud shutdown. In the past the choices were either logging in as a high god, or simply killing the mud in mid action. When there is a panic on the server an admin does not always have time to login and ask the mud to shutdown with its nice saftey saves of all active characters. This should help to avoid some of the corrupted character files we have experienced in the past from server disasters. He has also restored the proper working of the muds internal Shutdown and Reboot commands.

Mar 2009 - Hes has also joined us in making some fixes to code. All Psi's may want to shout "Hail Hex" when you next log in. Hex has fixed the problem with Psi's not being able to train with weapons.

Mar 2009 - The gods will no longer get the complaints "you always delete all my posts to the boards". Writing on the boards no longer requires a seperate "write" by itself to permanently save the posted message. Thanks Hex.

Mar 2009 - There have been some changes to the character creation portion of the mud. A) New responses to foil stat-rollers. Expect this to change frequently. B) Only one instance of an IP can be logged into the character roller. C) The list which locks out certain names has been re-instituted. This is not all-inclusive. Just because you can slip a name in which obviously is not a character name does not mean we will not nuke it. Unicus/Palin/Hex
